I have outpost pro for the next year. Now, I need a anti virus program. Which one will not conflict with outpost?

:) Hi there Chromeatari,
I have been using Eset NOD32 on my machines for the last three years and have just renewed again. I have never had a problem of any kind with this product,it works flawlessly and since using NOD nothing has got past it .You can configure NOD to break connection and deny access on detection of a virus. It is a superb product ,has won numerous awards and is used worldwide by major companies including Microsoft.
I certainly would not be without it and would not change to anything else, support should you need it is excellent and available in many countries.
NOD32 is in my view the perfect partner for Outpost Pro.
Good luck in search.....

NOD32 is in my view the perfect partner for Outpost Pro.
I wonder if they are partners in business too if you look at how it is advertised in this forums. ;) ;)
I use Norman Virus Control with OP and no problems at all. Works perfect.

Hello,
Interesting. But what is better then another anti-virus ? I'm using avast pro and it's perfect too. What's different or better in NOD32 ? What's better in NOD with Outpost ?

Thread moved to Computer Help since it is not Outpost-related...
Most anti-virus software should work well with Outpost - the only ones likely to pose a problem are those which do not allow you to exclude certain files from scanning since this means that you cannot stop them from scanning/rescanning Outpost's logfiles (which may affect performance, see 1). The only AV I know of with this problem is F-Prot Antivirus 3.xx (version 4 should correct this, when it is released) which is a pity since it is an excellent AV in most other respects.
You may find perusing the threads in Wilders' Other Anti-Virus Software (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=32) forum useful for threads comparing this with that - there are a few products to avoid but two do stand out also. NOD32 is fast and has excellent heuristics (ability to detect viruses whose signatures have not yet been added to its database) and Kaspersky AV has the best all-round malware detection (covering trojans and general riskware along with viruses) and offers updates every 3 hours - however KAV is more demanding of system resources.
Both products have their own forums (NOD32 forum (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=16), Kaspersky forum (http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showforum=4)) so checking these out for current issues would be advisable.
