I'm using Pro, registered, version 1.0.1220.2230
I've noticed some sites that are not working properly. One in partcicular is www.mapquest.com
The maps won't display unless I completely shut down Outpost and exit. I'm probably missing something but I've searched everywhere for an answer including adding the site to the content plugin with everything enabled. What am I missing?
This is not the only site I have a problem with but it's a great example.
Nothing suspicious shows up in the logs.

The answer is, that the maps lie on an ad-server from doubleclick.
And doubleclick is one of the big user tracers on the net (famous for the cookie), so its a blocked string.
You can temporarily disable the ad-string blocking of Outpost (right click on ad plugin). A for site blocking is in todo.

Thanks for the reply!
I use Cookie Pal to block all doubleclick cookies and it, Mapquest, still works OK. If I deleted references to doubleclick in the ad blocking in OP and let Cookie Pal handle it, do you think that would work?
Is there anything else I should consider, or am I on the right track? I don't want to make things worse before I move on this.

Its not a cookie problem.

Yes, would work. But you understand that doubleclick is hosting the maps? Only want to be sure in this case, no offence.

There is nothing wrong you did. No security issues, only a problem with a firm which tries to get userprofiles.

Hi leeshor, welcome to the forums.
Since doubleclick is so persuasive all over the web, why not just leave those string blocks alone and just stop adblocking while in mapquest and turn it back on when you leave.

Did more research. It seems that a part of the problem may be that I gat a javascrip arror when ad blocking is on but not when stopped.
I have a strong idea that doubleclick is not the problem. There is another site that's pulling the images, atwola.com.
Turing off the ad blocking isn't exactly a single click. That's why I'm trying to find another way. So far I'm stumped.

What I do when I can't figure out why something is not showing right ( or just to see how a site is being treated, is to delete logs, clear my cache and go to the site in question. Then I take a look at the new logs and I can tell what happened. IOW Blocked log tells me what was blocked. then I go into otions and set the rules as I want. If I see java was blocked, I enable it for that site. same with the rest. With some sites the problem is with ads. with others it is Java or Java applets. Even (perish the thought) activeX controls.
Hope this helps.
Chris
Well, I just loaded a couple maps there with doubleclick and atwola in adblocking, and everything disabled in Active Content>Web but for referrer, so I don't know what it could be. You might want to clear your cache and history and run a scan disk.

And I've loaded the maps with ad blocking stopped but with active content all intact. Strange!
There are 2 other sites that are exhibiting some strange behaviour. www.landsend.com will not display the "model" for one. I've seen some other problems but can't remember where.
There is one site with lots of java VB and scripts that I use daily and it displays just fine. Earlier versions of some other software firewalls could not handle that site when it could handle most others.
Wouldn't help to tell you the site, it's password protected.
