Context:
I scanned myself under windows xp with nmap, to be precise: I only tried some ports
(8070-8090) in order to see whether my http proxy (proxomitron on port 8081) is
detected.

Well, look at the screenshot:
a) it displays "undefined rule"
b) and more interesting, it shows a strange IP "shift"
while my real IP is 80.131.114.72,
the screenshot of the Outpost "allowed" log, also shows 81.131.114.72 instead of
my similar, but different, real IP 80.131.114.72!?

I forgot something:

apart from the anomaly of the IP address displayed and the "undefined rule" bug, there is
something else wrong:
the time 14:36 is completely wrong, it should be 21.14 (as shown for nmap.exe)...

Outpost 1.0.1209
1.0.216 drivers
(using this because of the missing "attack detection logs" in later versions)

I regret to say this:
But I won't update at this time, for I will wait until there is a version with attack detection logging working under xp!

It's too much trouble uninstalling outpost, manually removing all left over traces in the registry and reinstalling another version just to find that attack det. logging doesn't work. No, thank you.

Since the bug I found is so sporadic, it would mean waiting for days or weeks until it occurs again, while having no functional attack det. logging during this period of time.

Once people confirm that a more recent version is o.k. under xp (regarding logging), I will, of course, have another look at the anomaly I talked about...

No need to unsistall, remov, install etc. Just run Agnitum Update and it will do everything for you.
