Another fine Software which would compliment Outpost is called Adshield. Here is a short explanation about it from their web site.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm currently using Adshield...and along with the plug in that Outpost provides my surfing has quite enjoyable and ad free!!!

Remember that AdShield works with Internet Explorer only.

One of the reasons I like Outpost so much is that I don't have to use a bunch of seperate programs for ads, cookies, popups, etc.
I seem to be having no problems with ad blocking in Outpost. I can't remember the last time I saw an ad.
Do you guys have problems with Outpost not blocking all the ads?

Hi Root,
Personally I do not have any problem blocking ads because I am using the custom ad filters. Default filters are good but not as good(I know you know this). So, users who do not use the trashcan in the ad-blocking plugin can benefit from AdShield. It is actually very effective.
But I'm with you - I don't see ads at all anymore thx to Outpost.

root,

You're right. Outpost's ad blocking with the Agnis for Outpost list is perfectly adequate. I'm also using Privoxy at the moment which blocks other little things that Outpost can't, currently. Privoxy is very powerful and uses few system resources. I'm sure that I'll eventually drop it as well and use Outpost alone. But, I had to have something to play with while we wait for Outpost v2 :) .
