Hey... I didnt realize i was in the company of seventies dudes ...:)
Thin Lizzy were one of those bands ,that were unique.You knew it was them when you heard them.I like metallica too , but their version of whiskey in the jar (one of my lizzy favs ) is absoulutely terrible..lol.

Actually, I'm more of a 60's dude. The 70's had some good stuff, but nothing like the 60's.
I'm the proverbial old hippie. I miss folk music and the Stones. Love, peace and a pot full of pot. He he. Joan Baez, The Beatles, all the English invasion groups, hell, all the folk music and Rock and Roll, Baby. I was in Nam off and on from 66 til 70, the rest of the time the Phillipines and Japan, so I missed a lot of radio and tv then.
When I came back to the States in 1970, I thought music had gone to hell, but then along came the Eagles, Lightfoot, Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane/Starship, and of course Led Zep.
Heavy sigh!!!!:(

you forgot Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Mamas and Papas, Dave Clark Five, Flash Cadallac and the Lincoln Continentals, Coasters, Platters, Supremes. Sigh!! Those were the days. Sha Na Na, Drifters, The Crewcuts ( remember Sha Boom) Peter, Paul and Mary. Everly brothers, Rightous Brothers

Yup - love the 60's and 70's music. Hendrix, Zeppelin, Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Black Sabbath, ten years gone THIN LIZZY ! etc. Steely Dan is awesome! Ah lets face it, I love all music. I love Metallica too - but only the first four albums.
