You may want to wait a day or two till they update a few more mirrors. The ones that have it are currently hammered. It is defintely worth the effort.

Try this for the first cd.
ftp://ftp.umr.edu/pub/linux/mandrake/Mandrake/iso/Mandrake90-cd1-inst.i586.iso
The servers are being hammered as MegaHertz said, good luck.:)

You really only need the first CD as long as you don't intend to change any of the default options. Both time I have installed though I have needed th first two CD's due to the options that I chose to install. If you have a utility like Partition Magic Pro or OS-selector I have found it is easier to preformat the partition I am going to install to.

I was able to get 100 kB/Sec off of this mirror pretty consistently. http://tux.cprm.net/pub/Mandrake/iso/

Well I'm not real sure. I just like to use it to get used to the feel and because I know that one day M$ will cross the line and I'll need an alternative. Better to get a feel for it now than wait til I have no choice. For me right now it is a novelty, but eventually unless things change it will probably become a neccessity.
