Got it and plugged those values in. May have seen a little increase in speed, but no miracle.
Where did you get those settings? Are they supposed to be the best for all 56k users?

it's a good idea to check those registry entries periodically - i checked one day when my speed seemed abnormally slow and was alarmed to discover they had altered. just locate your cablenut tweak sheet,retrieve ,check,then save them to registry once again. see attachment.

just made some more adjustments to my modem. though this link is for XP you may still benefit from the settings explained. only thing i HAD to keep checked was the Use Default Gateway...don't know why as i have a stand alone PC,but i could get NOTHING when i unchecked that and dialed up.

I downloaded the next version, beta 1 and it fixed a couple of problems.
I am using it but I do not like the absense of mouse function for forward and reverse, and you cannot cut and paste urls with the mouse. Control c and controlv works though.
Still having a little trouble with it retaining settings as some want to revert to the default.
Book marks are a mess! When I try to ad a bookmark using the bookmark button and going to a sub heading and select add here, it doesn't work.
Just little stuff that need attention. I don't think it surfs any faster than 6.05 though.

many weeks experimentation has convinced me that for faster page loading in IE for dialup connections these > MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server = 8
MaxConnectionsPerServer = 4 are best set to
32 and 16.
that is MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server = 32
MaxConnectionsPerServer = 16

i go high-speed cable on Monday...Whoo Hoo!!!
