The quicker we sound off about this one, the better our chances for getting it squashed!

If we don't speak up, we will be silenced.

I hope everyone truly understands that.

This thing is due for passage this week if it isn't stopped - don't wait, write them today! Pete

Not only that, youse oughtta check out;

Read 'Stupid White Men' and be enlightened to a portion of what our government would rather we (the sheep) not know.
There's alot going on, and we can't afford to sit and let the wrong thing happen.

Hello,

Interesting links. Here are couple of additional interesting recent developments.

Supreme Court case could weaken Miranda rights (http://www.adn.com/24hour/nation/story/654797p-4920150c.html)

U.S. Supreme Court could make Miranda warnings thing of the past (http://edition.cnn.com/2002/LAW/12/01/scotus.police.questioning.ap/)

Both are the same story. I gave two just in case one of the links expired. I prefer to keep an open mind when reading things like this and try to understand the fine balance that must be maintained between individual rights and our government's ability to uphold the law and protect the public in general. In the end, it is up to the individual decide what is right or wrong and to express their beliefs by way of the decisions they make when voting. Voting is our most important right as citizens and as long as we have that right, we have hope. :)

Have a good day. :)

It is a very fine line on which to balance; to maintain what is just and fair to protect, but keep the overzealous ramrod from running amok with with 'the law'. Makes ya wanna put some of them guys in a bag and just shake em up.

This Homeland SEcurity BS is why we have Bush in office.
Gore wouldn't have had a snowball's chance in hell of getting it through.
