Certain sites load very slowly when Blockpost is enabled. One in particular is http://www.theinquirer.net. When blockpost is enabled, the site will not load, reporting 'this page cannot be displayed.'

The ad-sites being blocked are reported as

3/19/2003 7:50:12 PM block packet to 217.158.66.148 ads.viaarena.com Various - Misc. Ad server
3/19/2003 7:50:06 PM block packet to 217.158.66.148 ads.viaarena.com Various - Misc. Ad server
3/19/2003 7:50:03 PM block packet to 217.158.66.148 ads.viaarena.com Various - Misc. Ad server

After these sites are reported, the browser shows the page currently unavailable message.

Is this a timeout parameter that can be changed with the browser?

If not, is there a way, other than removing the ads.viaarena.com entry from blockpost, to get such a site to load (this long delay or unable to load error happens with other sites as well. the inquirer is the first that came to mind for this example).

Thanks,
DRB

IMHO noway to change timeout parameter for browser.
And, since big IP list are obsoleting with every day, you must delete that wrong entries manually. this is the only solution now.

Wouldn't it make sense to have blockpost designed to send an empty file for common file types? For example, if spyware.gif were requested from some host that is known to be a troublemaker, the blockpost plugin could return a 0Kb gif file to the browser, allowing the browser to carry on normally and yet still block the bad traffic.

Just an idea... Do agnitum developers read this?

Blockpost working on low network level with IP packets. It's don't know about files requests, etc.
