when i try to install v2.0, I get the following error,

GLB36.tmp - unable to locate component: This application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

When I click 'OK', I get another pop up that warns me that the Outpost Service has been detected on my system and advises me to reboot. But rebooting does not help.

I had v1.0 PRO previously. I un-installed it. The folder is clean and there are no OP registry entries.

I have windows XP SP1.

I tried to install v1.0 Free without any luck.

thanks,
Arkesh

Arkesh,

I would suggest that you may have a corrupted file - redownloading v2 and reinstalling may solve this.

The "framedyn.dll" not found error was due to the fact that the "%systemroot%\system32\wbem" entry was not in my PATH. (just did a Google search on "framedyn.dll" to discover this !!)

The "Outpost Service" still being active was because of a registry entry. Ran jv16 power tools registry cleaner to solve this problem.

Thanks,

Arkesh
