Hi Dmut:

Just FYI - you weren't sure about the latest Blockpost and Win2K.

I tried it, the install went OK, but the plugin would not start. Tried manual start, and it still wouldn't come up. So then I "removed" throught the Outpost interface, then tried to "add" it back in but no go. Outpost couldn't add or start it.

blockpost_2003_05_26-v2.exe
Windows 2000 SP2
OP Ver 2

For some reason it only works on XP. Dmut is looking into it when time permits.

thanks for info, CatAddict, Nick_R, that what I needed.

now it would be good if someone confirm blockpost combalibility or not with WinME.

I will try fix these compatibility issue.

one question to w2k users: do you have WS2_32.DLL in your system? this is MS WinSock v2 implementation.

Blockpost does not work on Win2K because ws2_32.dll does not export function "getaddrinfo". This function used in plug_properties.cpp (line 159).

Dmut's the man!

BP seems to work OK on my Win2K SP2 machine. Successfully blocks entered addresses.

Can't import my old V1 blocklist file, but I think that's a known to-do. I can export from new version and re-import OK.

But the core function works as advertised.

Excellent.
