hi,
thanks for the new updated plugin dmut.could you please explain in detail how to setup the plugin for newbies like us as i cant figure out from the how to setup the plugin explained before like how to clear the tables and how to run tracert.I would really appreciate it...
thanks once again,
Here are some facts in a few words:
1) SuperStealth is ARP requests filter.
2) ARP is protocol designed to resolve IP address to MAC address
3) MAC (media access control, not related to Apple) address is unique 6 bytes number that assigned to every network adapter.
4) computers use only MAC addressing to communicate in Ethernet segment.
5) if you block ARP request that some host (in your Ethernet segment only! ) sending to you, then that host can not get your hardware address to send you a Ethernet packet, actually that host will think that your computer is turned off.
6) in SuperStealth you can select a trusted computers, including their MAC addresses in "trusted MAC" list; ARP requests from others will be filtered.
7) you segment connected to others network via gateway or routers, they are like just a ordinary network computers, they have IP and MAC, therefore you must enter their MAC to your trusted list, otherwise they will not able to send to you any packet.
8) if you are not sitting in Ethernet network (you are using modem or non-Ethernet NIC) or there is no other computers in your segment (e.g. you are sitting directly behind a router) then SuperStealth is useless in you case.
9) the simplest way to get someone MAC is to ping him, and open ARP table ("arp -a" from command line), you will see smth like this: C:\>arp -a
Interface: 192.168.0.191 --- 0x10003
Internet Address Physical Address Type
192.168.1.124 00-30-00-10-35-36 dynamic
"00-30-00-10-35-36" - is hardware (MAC) address of computer that has "192.168.1.124" in my segment.
Sorry that my English doesn't allowing me to explain everything in details, but that facts list above would be enough for start experiments. Also if you have some particular question you may ask here, you’ll always get an answer in these forums.

So Dmut where manly is using a dial-up connection will Superstealth be of any benefit to him?
definitely not.
