    Question Should I disable JavaScript?

    Hello guys,

Hope you're all doing fine I got this question about JS, the title says it all. Should I disable javascript for every website and only allow it for trusted websites or does this make most websites unusable, making it not worth the hassle? Maybe someone has experience with this. Thanks in advance.

    Greetings,

    Hello stanny,

What is your browser? Many sites will not work as intended if javascript and/or referrers, cookies, etc... are disabled, most sites use these legitimately, others do not.

I use firefox with the NoScript add-on set to block scripts globally. I can then allow scripts on a per site basis. NoScript can do a lot more than that!

    Re: Should I disable JavaScript?

    Hi minoka,

Thanks for your reply! I'm using Opera as a browser. I'm asking myself, why do you use the no-script addon when it's also possible to use OP to block javascript?
I currently block cookies and referrers globally in OP. Still wondering if I should disable js though

    Greetings,
    Stanny

    Re: Should I disable JavaScript?

I use NoScript and other add-ons because I find them more flexible than OP's web control and, more importantly, they apply to only one browser. A matter of personal choice.
