KAV 2011 (Kaspersky) compatibility?

I've tried to search in the forum but I don't seem to find a precise answer. Is KAV 2011 compatible with OFP 7.x? I have currently OFP 2009 (6.7.3) running happily with KAV 2010, and I would like to upgrade both.

Are the installation rules used for the previous versions of OFP/KAV good also for their latest versions?

Hello, I installed KAV 2011 (V 11.0.1.400) and everything works without problems with Outpost 7.0.1. I've done this:
Total Uninstall the previous version of KAV following this procedure:

Uninstalling dOutpost. Installing KAV, then Outpost
Getting Trust Zone of Outpost, then Import ancient rules
In this version, the port 19780 is not open / used by KAV, and there is no conflict between the Outpost driver and the Kaspersky NDIS Filter .
So, no problems for me with XP Pro 32 SP3

Any idea if i could use KIS 2010 or 2011 and just install the AV component. ?

I dont like the firewall in kis and so am using outpost now.

That just gives me how to get it to install rather than if outpost and kis 2009/10 conflict too much to be usable together.

It looks like kis 2009 is behaving fine with outpost pro 7 here after only installing the antimalware and content filtering components. I got rid of the ndis driver in network connections but didnt need to edit the registry.
Turned off realtime protection for spyware in outpost but I let it update and do a quick scan on new defs. No interference noticed.

so far so good

I got KIS 2009 here in the UK from "works" discount bookshops for a tenner but didnt like its firewall so uninstalled it. (there dont seem to be discounts for its standalone AV) Good to have AV and spyware protection now

I would like to thank you for the answers. I have smoothly installed both KAV 2011 and OP 7.0.2 and they seem to work way better than KAV 2010 + OP 6.7.

I have one minor glitch for which I am going to start a different thread.
