Re: Outpost Firewall Awards

A review by softpedia on Outpost Firewall Pro 4 RC4.

Quote:

The Good

Outpost Firewall Pro is one of the best firewalls that I have seen so far, being highly customizable and powerful, yet easy enough to be used by beginners. You have an entire month at your disposal to try it without limitations, and the documentation that comes with it is excellent.

The Bad

If this is your first firewall, then you may have some difficulties during your first steps, but other than that, everything's just fine.

The Truth

It seems I have a wish on the Christmas list already, and that is to receive a license for this program, and this should say it all. If it doesn't, then check the trial version for yourselves and share with us your opinions!

Re: Outpost Firewall Awards

I don't know whether this can be considered an award, but I still think this is the right place to post the results of the virusbtn-test from September 2008:

The VirusBuster-Engine included in Outpost doesn't perform extraordinary but ok.

Re: Outpost Firewall Awards

One can't consider this an award because you shouldn't be looking at the VB results and assuming that it's equivelant to the one in OSS. The virus engine in OSS uses the VB signatures but the product is different because it's coded by Agnitum.

There are no results in September for Agnitum. They actually have a total of 7 tests done with 4 successes. They are here: http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archiv...ts?vendor=VE47
