What's newFixed broken links18-04-2003Mostly just links to the new forum. Added a section on registry entries13-03-2003Some info about Outpost registry entries (including a new Log plugin) can be found in the Miscellany section. Denis has provided some help with rules for MSN Messenger so the Comms page in the Rules section now explain some of Messengers rules more accurately. Updated HTTP Log page as there is now a new version out07-12-2002Also altered the style sheets to make parts of the plugin pages easier to read (the sections covering the plugin logs). Information about PC Flank's new plugin called WhoEasy added to plugins page30-11-2002Also updated Links and Guide Map pages. Translate Page updated26-11-2002Translation links found to be dead as Babelfish have changed how they build the URLs, still it took all of 10 seconds to capture the new URLs (thanks to Muchod's HTTP Log plugin :)). Anyway, translation is now possible again. Guide Map updated to reflect new pages25-11-2002Off-line guide now updated to reflect all changes up to 25-11-2002. Popup Glossary added and FAQ section updated24-11-2002The popup glossary is experimental and only functions in Internet Explorer at the moment. I hope to support other browsers soon. The FAQ section has a new sub-section about the internet, its creation, and its future developement. Those pages use Flash as the images as JPEGs were to big and would caused long load times, so www.outpostfirewall.com will require access to ActiveX if you want to see the images. Winyl has given me rules for e-Mule and these can be found in the rules section. Rules section updated to reflect Preset 13-09-0227-09-2002Also added a page on Gamming Tips to Miscellany and modified several other pages. Added a close function to popup windows, and added parts to Miscellany and FAQ sections. Added keywords to several pages and corrected glossary title tags so that they are easier to read. Removed embedded JavaScript so that updating of JavaScript could be done through one file. Added 'Update Alert' to the Presentation section. Popups are now centred and browser/browser versions that have trouble displaying this site due to poor scripting support and/or standards compliance now display a message on every page so as to explain why some features don't work or why some things don't look right. Netscape 4 still looks terrible. I'm looking in to away of using alternate scripts for NN4 that use v.4's BOM rather then the DOM. All pages now parse correctly as HTML 4.01 Transitional. |
