What is Java?

Java Applets are small programs written in Sun's Java programming language. The applets need a Java enabled browser to run and Java is mostly used (in web sites) to play animations, and create navigation systems, although nearly any program you care to think of can be created in Java.

For more Information:

Google search for Java Exploits
The Source for Java(TM) Technology
Java World
Java Report
Hostile Java Applets Examples (don't visits the sites linked to from this link with Java Applets enabled unless you know what yo are doing).
