Installing Outpost (1.0 Pro and Free)Outpost's install procedure is very easy, just double click on the setup file that you have downloaded from Agnitum and follow the InstallShield Wizard until you are told to re-boot. For those of you that want a more detailed view of the install process, keep reading... Full install procedureAfter starting the installation process the first thing you have to do is read the license agreement. You must toggle 'I Agree' before you can continue the installation. After starting the installation process the familiar Welcome page that is common to all InstallShield installations will appear. Click the 'Next' button to continue with the install or click on 'Cancel' to abort the process. Next you have to tell the Wizard where to install Outpost. By default this is c:\Program Files\Agnitum\Outpost Firewall 1.0. If you want to change this location do so now by clicking on the 'Browse' button. After selecting the Install directory you need to tell Outpost what language you want supported. This defaults to English, to choose another language click on the arrow on the Combo box and select the language of your choice, once done click on the 'Next' button. The last step is to confirm you are ready to install by clicking on the 'Next' button in the Start Installation window. When your PC has restarted you will see the Outpost Icon in the System Tray. Congratulations, Outpost has been successfully installed! |
