Install the Debug PluginThe debug plugin (which automatically comes with the Beta version) can be installed by those using the Pro and Free versions. If you report an error Agnitum may ask you to install the debug plugin to help with reporting your bug. Those interested in writing plugins will also want to install the debug plugin as it provides invaluable information for a developer. First download the plugin from Agnitum. The Installation processAfter starting the installation process the familiar Welcome page that is common to all InstallShield installations will appear. Click the 'Next' button to continue with the install or click on 'Cancel' to abort the process. Next you have to tell the Wizard where to install the Debug Plugin. By default this is c:\Program Files\Agnitum\Outpost Firewall 1.0. If you want to change this location do so now by clicking on the 'Browse' button. The last step is to confirm you are ready to install by clicking on the 'Next' button in the Start Installation window. What does the debug plugin look like?
It is used to display error messages and informational messages for the developers. It will also help you report bugs and Blue Screens Of Death (BSOD). For precise instructions on what how to use the plugin to report different problems please read this thread at Agnitum's support Forum. |
