Quicker access to the Ads plugin TrashcanOpen the directory where you have Outpost installed, inside of the directory you will see a file called trash.exe.
Create a short cut of this file. Now move the shortcut to your Start Menu, Desktop or Quick Launch. To move it to your desktop just right click on the shortcut and drag it from its window to an empty region of your desktop:
When the popup context menu appears select Move Here. To move it to your Quick Launch drag the shortcut to the Quick Launch toolbar:
Lastly to move it to your Start Menu drag the right click and drag the shortcut to the Start button:
This is fine for Windows 98 as there is only one start menu, but if you are using a multi-user version of Windows like XP or 2000, doing the above will just copy the shortcut to your user Start Menu so that only you will see the shortcut. If you want all users to see the shortcut you must place the shortcut in the 'All Users' Start Menu. To do so, right click on the Start Menu and click on Open All Users (the Open option at the top of the menu opens your own user Start Menu folder):
A window will appear. This is the 'All Users' Start Menu, drag the shortcut to this window and it will put the Trashcan in the Start Menu for all of your computers users to access. The last thing you may wish to do is to give the shortcut a more meaningful name then trash and to give it a comment so that other users can see what the shortcut is for. To do this right click on the shortcut and open the Properties window for the shortcut. Then select the 'General' tab and give the shortcut a new name:
Then select the 'Shortcut' tab and fill in the Comment box at the bottom of the Properties window:
Now when you want to start the Trashcan all you have to do is click on the new Icon saving you all that time it took before by having to open the main window and then right click on the Ads plugin to start the Trashcan. |
