Filtering Logs

Bottom

The logs can be put through various filters which can make it easier to see what an application is doing or to show you all communications on a particular port, for example. The filters can be based on Time or several log column headings such as 'Application', 'Direction', 'Protocol', 'Remote Port', etc., etc. You apply a filter by right clicking on any of the three log branch headings (Allowed, Blocked, and Reported) or by right click on the log windows or the log column headings. This opens the context menu, from here you can apply a Time based filter:

[Log Context Menu - Time Filter]

A Selection based filter:

[Log Context Menu - Selection Filter]

Or a combination of both:

[Log Context Menu - Custom Filter]

To remove a filter click on the 'Show all events' button. Filters can also be applied via the shortcut button bar.
